High Carb foods you should avoid

There is no doubt that carbohydrates play an important role for proper functioning of our immune system, fertilization, pathogenesis, blood clotting and human development. Deficiency of carbohydrate can severely damage functioning of these systems. But on other end, excessive consumption of carbohydrates can cause obesity, type 2 diabetes, stroke, coronary artery disease and cancer.

It’s best for you to consume maximum 80 grams of carbohydrates a day. The American Diabetes Association reports that people with diabetes should generally limit carbohydrate intake to 45 to 60 grams per meal, depending on what their doctor or dietitian approves.

Carb rich foods are harder for the body to burn off as fuel and so make the person gain weight.
